Gymnastics and Recital

Image
Today marked the beginning of summer for us in a couple of ways. One was the last gymnastics class of the year, as well as the end of the year recital for Chloe's singing lessons. Here a few pictures from this eventful day. Chloe receiving her "diploma" from "supertots" So hard....strong muscles! I know a lot of adults who can't do this... The "canoe" The "banana" - she got to demonstrate this in class one day because she does it so well, and has ever since been more jazzed about gymnastics than she ever has. Her coach told me today that she noticed a big change with her, and that she works very hard to make sure she does each exercise perfectly. Running as fast as she can....maybe sticking the tongue out helps her go faster?? Chloe singing in her recital.

Here are a few pictures and videos from the last couple of months. Chloe's really into her singing lessons these days, and has taught her friends all of the songs she's learned. Also, another Choe-ism from today that made me laugh: "I could run faster, but I don't want to ruin the fence (meaning she would run right through it)." Enjoy! She learned this in singing lessons. Sorry about the sideways business! Taking a bow - she was a natural on stage Chloe's last dance class of the year. Chloe's Art

Chloe was drawing in her book this morning and i thought it would be fun to showcase some of her art here. Here are some of her better pieces that i can scan. Created by Chloe March 27, 2009 Created by Chloe at Daddy's work Created by Chloe at Karen's work (i believe). She had two pieces for this art; one for dad and one for mom. This is the dad piece.

Hello friends and family. Here is a much needed update for the past 3-4 months. I was too preoccupied keeping my blog from Japan that i had little to no time for Chloe's but now i'm back on schedule. Chloe is doing well and busy as ever with school, gymnastics, skiing, dance and singing classes. She can often be heard singing songs from various locations of the house. She recently found a jewelry box with a ballerina that twirls and plays music; the old wind up type. She called me to let me know she found it and was VERY excited about it. I promised her one as a reward for her last reward chart but i could not find one. Luckily, Karen was out and about town and found one for her. Hope you enjoy the pictures and short clips. The Dentist!

Today Chloe went to the dentist. It was not the first time. This time was just a little different though. About a month ago when we went skating, Chloe smashed her face into the ice, splitting her lip in the process. She hit pretty hard and when i asked her if she hurt anywhere else, she said her tooth. So we brought her to the dentist to have him look; we expected a chipped tooth. Not so. Turns out there was no chipped tooth. She probably only hit her teeth together with no damage to the teeth and it hurt at the time. There was a deep cavity though. So today was the day it was all supposed to go down to get her cavity fixed. She was good as usual when we got there. Played with the toys and we played pretend phone calls with the toy phone there and my cell. Then we were called to come in. No problem. Chloe hops up on the chair. She takes her shoes off. They apply the local anestetic; it's bubble gum flavour. No problems. We sit and chat, they come back and put the needle in. She...
